Dear members, supporters, volunteers, customers and friends
July 2020 update
Currently we are not able to open the railway to the public because of the risk and impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have put COVID-19 policy and risk assessment into place and we are now COVID-SECURE. Currently we do not feel that we can reopen with the current pandemic.
We are now completing essential maintenance on track, locomotives and carriages which were delayed by the lockdown. We are also making some additional improvements to the railway before we reopen the site again.
Currently, it is very doubtful if we can operate Santa as in previous years. A further announcement will be made by 15th August 2020.
The railway is open from Easter till October. Trains run on the the first Sunday of each month, and on Bank Holiday Sunday Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. Tickets from 1.30pm, Trains run 2.00pm - 5.30pm.
Our miniature railway is known as the Thames Ditton Miniature Railway. and we are located in the villiage of Thames Ditton in Surrey. The ground level railway is for the large scale trains. The elevated railway is for the smaller scale trains. We have been running passenger trains on the miniature railway for for over 70 years. We hope you will be able to visit us during the year for a ride on our trains and enjoy the atmosphere of our railway and it's trains.

Volunteering / Membership
What we do, and why you should consider joining us.
We are a not-for-profit society and the railway is run solely by a group of dedicated volunteers all year. If you have skills that can be put to use then great, if not then don't worry there are plenty of ways to learn. We will be more than happy to teach you skills that will be with you for life. Volunteering gives a unique opportunity to work with like-minded people and make friendships that can last a lifetime.
We are always looking for more volunteers who would like to get involved. Whether you wish to be a Driver, Guard, Platform Duties, Signalman, Engineering or just help with the maintenance, you will be working alongside a friendly group of volunteers sharing the same experience.
