Account Terms of Use

Lists of contacts and related data are maintained in the restricted area of this website.  This information is intended solely for the membership of the Society.   By applying for an account you agree that you will respect the licensing basis of this website and that you will ensure that the website is used only for purposes permitted by law.

A new account will normally be created immediately. You may have to wait for an administrator to approve your account before it has greater access than the default guest account.

Have confirmation code If you have already received an email from the website giving you a confirmation code for the creation of your account, please enter the code you have been given here and then press the Have confirmation code button to the left.

Please note that the code can only ever be used once and is subject to an expiry date.

Register Member Manually

This enables a manager to register in the database a member who is about to be or has been approved by the committee under manual procedures.

Please make sure that a contact does not already exist in the database for this user - you will not be able to create another user of the same name, but if there is a small difference in name (eg omission of middle initials) you may end up with two contacts in the database for the same person - and then have to delete one that is not the member.

If a contact already exists and it is required to make the contact into a member, do not proceed here. Instead visit the My Details page for that user and change the contact's User Profile.

Contact A contact does not have the right to log on to the system - but the details are held so that managers can access the contact details for the contact as part of the day to day activities of the club.
Existing Club Member If you are an existing member of the club and you have never had an account before, you can attach a log on account to your existing membership details by providing your email address and supplementary information.

Please do not use this if you already have an account and you have changed your email address or forgotten your password.  Follow the log on process and you can reset your password that way.  Once logged on you can also change your email address via My Area/My Details.
Friend of a Member As a member, if you would like to introduce someone else to the club related to your account then you can do so here. You can use this to introduce a new spouse or new children to a family membership or to introduce someone else as a non-member - the friend will not have a log on account but you can ask the administrator to add one.

You can also introduce a next of kin or for a junior member you can introduce your parent or guardian.

If the person you wish to identify is already on the database, please do not use this facility - instead please go to your My Details page and add them as a Related Contact.
Friend - Model Engineer If you are a model engineer affliated to another recognised model engineering club you can sign up for an account with more features than a Friend of the Society. The benefit of doing so is that you can be aware of our activities that are directed towards model engineers from other clubs and societies.
Friend of the Society Sign up as a friend of the Society, we can keep you informed of our activities that are available to the general public.
Apply to join If you would like to join the club, please come and visit first. To proceed here, you will need the name of a member who has spoken to you and showed you around our site. If you have already done this then you can apply here for membership.
Supplier A supplier to the society does not have the right to log on to the system - but the details are held so that managers can access the contact details for the supplier as part of the day to day activities of the club.
